TRIBUTE TO OUR FOUNDING FATHER LEE KUAN YEW
2M X 1.2MNAILS AND THREADS ON WOOD PANEL
‘A nation is great not by its size alone. It is the will, the cohesion, the stamina, the discipline of its people and the quality of their leaders which ensure it an honorable place in history.’
I was inspired by the enduring strength and solidity of Lee Kuan Yew's legacy. The strings woven around nails symbolise our humanity, fragile when alone, yet resilient and unyielding when united. Despite the challenges in the world and our personal lives, we stand firm in faith, our collective spirit unbreakable, drawing strength from within.

Singapore’s contemporary architecture captivates me with its harmonious blend of form and innovation, where each building enhances the urban tapestry, crafting an iconic skyline. This passion stems from childhood LEGO play, where vibrant blocks transformed imagination into tangible creations. Like those bricks, Singapore’s structures unite diverse designs into a cohesive landscape, each telling a unique story. My work celebrates this balance, evoking wonder and connection through spaces that resonate with life.
